Foursquare android app update refreshes the app’s UI plus some new features

foursquare android app Foursquare recently pushed an update to its social check-in app for Android and if you haven’t done so yet, you may want to grab it now from the Google Play Store. Doing so will render your Foursquare Android app fresh with a new user interface plus a couple of new features that aim to make the discovery of new places easier and better and other improvements.

Looking down into the new features of the updated Foursquare Android app, we first have the Explore tab getting the ability to see who among your friends have checked-in to a nearby place. Thanks to the Explore tab now placed at the top of the screen. From here you can quick tap on the “best nearby” to find out what are Foursquare’s top picks for a particular area. You will also be able to quickly search for what you’re looking for in a particular area from this home screen. Pushing it further, finding friends and discovering new places were also made easier by way of a map.

Other new features of the Foursquare Android app that you will appreciate includes the check in button now being relocated at the bottom left, the simplification of the procedures for adding new friends, the ability to access your to-do lists via the left drawer and other bug fixes and performance improvements.

Perhaps what’s more important aside from those new features is the promise made by Foursquare for more updates in the future. These include a better personalized map on your home screen.

So, if you’re still on to social discovery and check-in using your mobile phone, this app should still be one of major apps sitting on your Android device’s home screen. And yes, the update is a must so grab it now by hitting the via link below.
