Google runs If I Had Glass Contest, New Google Glass video Emerges

The project known as Google Glass reared its strange head last year, and now it’s making another appearance with Google’s If I Had Glass program. It’s Googles way of giving anyone a chance to try out the glasses out early and they’re now accepting applications through social media.

If Google Glass is a product you’re excited for today’s your lucky day… kind of. If you want to get in on the action you simply need to submit a message via Twitter (#ifihadglass) or Google+ telling Google what you would do if you had Project Glass. Your submission has to be 50 words or less, but you can add a 15 second video clip and up to 5 photos. You’ll have to be 18 of course, and you’ll want to keep up with @projectglass and +ProjectGlass so they can contact you if you’re a winner.

There is a catch however, as with most things in life nothing is free. If you’re lucky enough to be selected you’ll still have to shell out $ 1,500 bucks and travel to pick up your glasses in Los Angeles, San Francisco or New York. If you’re itching to get your hands on Google Glass you can head over to the official page and check out the rules or you if your pockets are light you can trip out at the new Google Glass video below.
